ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR GOOD CAUSES BY THE ROTARY CLUB OF HENDON
Saturday 14th September was another successful annual fundraising event for good causes by the Rotary Club of Hendon led by our able president Ngozi DikeSpecial guests included Mayor of Enfield Cllr Kate Anolue, our DG Tony Sharma, AG Ben Abiodun, President Oru Community Association, guests from other Rotary Clubs and others. The highlights of the evening included a rendition of band aid song”we are the world” by the president’s grandchildren, they also sold chocolates raising £41. DJ Ify was at hand to get us on our feet and on the dance floor. Community service award was presented to Chief Sir Ben Agwunobi, Chantelle Duru for supporting Rotary events and kids for their entertainment and fundraising effort.
DEMENTIA CLUB UK SESSION AT THE HENDON TOWN HALL.
Another thrilling day at the Dementia Club UK session at the Hendon Town Hall.Members arrived feeling the spring in the air. Refreshments were served. Charlyn our volunteer from Rotary Club of Hendon was at hand to lead as the Bingo caller. Members, Carers and Volunteers all enjoyed the Bingo session; this was followed by an exercise session lead by the enigmatic Eon who took us all through our paces. For the first time we welcomed Dennis a seasoned musician to Dementia Club UK- Hendon Town Hall. Dennis performed different genre of music to the delight members, carers and volunteers who also danced, sang along with so much pleasure.
